Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Syed Albar is the Home Minister, appointed in PM Abdullah Badawi's cabinet after the 2008 general elections. The home ministry is the merger of former Home Affairs Ministry and Internal Security Ministry. He was formerly the Foreign Minister of Malaysia.
