  • 28 April 2008 (The Star): Lim Guan Eng calls the rerouting of Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development ministry funds through bodies such as MARA instead of the State Economic Development Corporations a new form of colonialism.

  • 22 March 2008 (The Star): Lim Guan Eng announced that uncovered improprieties in the previous government's practices that could cause a huge contingent liability for the state and has set up a panel to investigate “land improprieties” amounting to “tens and tens of thousands of ringgit”.
